Overlook's recreation staff leaves no stone unturned. Our activities program is structured around the needs of our residents and is filled with arts and crafts, movies, outside entertainment, games, bus trips and more. Activity personnel work closely with rehabilitation therapists to build programs that help our residents make strides toward recovery.

October 26, 2005
Our annual Halloween Party was held on October 26th. The Activity Staff brings together the residents and staff members children and grandchildren for a night of fun and games. All children attending dressed in costume and enjoyed an evening of games, treats and prizes. The kitchen staff outdid themselves by supplying us with many interesting edible creatures along with cakes and cookies. Prizes are awarded to the top nine costumes in various categories.

August 15, 2005
On August, 15, 2005, the Overlook staff helped our resident, Lorenzo Milliard celebrate the wedding of his granddaughter. Mr. Milliard was unable to attend his granddaughter's wedding on the island of Maui, Hawaii on Aug 14th so our dedicated staff brought Hawaii to him. Along with Hawaiian music, food and decorations we were able to show the wedding via a satellite feed direct from Maui to our doorstep. Friends, family and residents surrounded him to make the day most memorable. It was certainly a day to remember.

Betty Reynolds Memorial Celebration

Our Activity Department joined together with friends, residents and family members to celebrate the spirit of our dear friend who recently passed away. Although Betty had been a resident here in our home for only four short years she left us with a lifetime of memories and smiles. Her passion for the outdoors along with her love of music was always present and her spirit was contagious. Although she is sadly missed by many, her legacy lives on in the hearts of many here at our home.
